Restore the Look of Natural Hair — Even Through Unpredictable Hair Loss
Alopecia can affect anyone, at any age. Whether your hair loss is patchy, progressive, or total, the emotional and visual impact can be overwhelming. At The Scalp Master, we specialize in scalp micropigmentation (SMP) for individuals living with alopecia areata, totalis, or traction alopecia.

Through custom pigment application and advanced follicle replication techniques, we help you achieve the appearance of fuller, natural-looking hair — even in areas with no regrowth. If you're tired of wigs, powders, or waiting for regrowth that may never come, SMP offers a reliable, long-lasting solution.
Understanding Alopecia and SMP
Alopecia refers to a range of conditions that result in hair loss. SMP doesn't treat the condition itself, but it camouflages the effects, providing the illusion of hair density and restoring the structure a full hairline gives your face.
We work with clients experiencing:
-
Alopecia Areata (patchy, unpredictable hair loss)
-
Alopecia Totalis (complete loss of scalp hair)
-
Traction Alopecia (hair loss from styling or tension)
-
Scarring Alopecia (follicle damage from inflammation or injury)
SMP allows you to stop worrying about cover-ups and start focusing on confidence, self-image, and a fresh, defined look.
Benefits of SMP for Alopecia
-
Conceals Bald Patches and Thinning Areas
-
Restores Symmetry and Facial Framing
-
No Scalp Irritation or Damage
-
Works Even in Areas with Zero Hair Regrowth
-
Safe for All Skin Tones and Hair Colors
-
Helps Clients Feel in Control of Their Image Again
Unlike temporary solutions like fibers or wigs, scalp micropigmentation is semi-permanent, fade-resistant, and requires minimal maintenance.
How It Works
We tailor each SMP treatment for alopecia based on your unique pattern of hair loss, skin type, and style goals.
1. Comprehensive Consultation - We discuss your medical history, the type and progression of alopecia, and your preferred outcome. From here, we design your ideal hairline and coverage plan.
2. Pigment Application - Using medical-grade, hypoallergenic pigment, we deposit micro-dots into affected areas — whether sparse, patchy, or completely bare. Color is custom-matched to your skin and remaining hair (if any).
3. Session Breakdown - Alopecia clients typically need 3–4 sessions, spaced two weeks apart, to gradually build coverage and dimension. This approach allows for adjustments and healing time in between.
4. Natural Healing & Maintenance - Once complete, your SMP will fade slightly and evenly over the years. Optional touch-ups keep your look fresh long term.
